Final Underwriting

This is the last step before closing. The process will vary depending on which bank or mortgage company you choose. The lender will be finishing up and calculating numbers as well as contacting the title company to make sure everything is good to go. It may be very common for the bank to request more documentation such as updated bank statements or a new pay stub etc. Try to be on top of their request, because if not it could delay closing. Once all the numbers are worked out the bank will send out disclosures for you to sign. These must be signed three days prior to closing. Sign them as soon as possible after reviewing them, because if you wait it could push back closing which could breach the contract and make you lose the house.
